ORNL Federal Credit Union secure document shredding day, free and open to the public

ORNL Federal Credit Union is hosting a secure Document Shred Day. This event is free and is open to the public.

The event is Saturday, April 19th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Secure documents such as bank statements and also film and data CDs will be accepted. All shredding will be done 100% on site by a commercial shredding service. Read more for locations...

My typical caution statement. Make sure they shred your documents where you can see them being shredded. With todays lackadaisical work ethic, I don't trust anyone with my most important information.

Good advice. The ad in the

Good advice. The ad in the paper says all documents will be 100% shredded on site before the trucks leave the parking lots. They don't say if you are supposed to just drop them off or if you'll get to watch them shred. I wouldn't just drop them off.

I have two years of student

I have two years of student papers, plus my own stuff. I keep saying I'm going to get a shredder, but it keeps ending up at the bottom of the list.
