Copper, water, now trees. I never thought about having to make a record of trees on your property just in case...

I can believe it

My mother had some Christmas trees growing on her property for a little extra income, a few years back, and somebody drove up and cut down a tree out of her yard while she was gone to town!

I have 3 or 4 big old 60

I have 3 or 4 big old 60 foot oak trees on my property.Does anyone know what they would be worth?

There are a lot of variables that have to be figured out before you can estimate their value. Whether they are red, white or some other oak tree will make a huge difference. It will also need to be determined if they are hollow or not. Many oak trees look healthy but are rotten inside and hollow. The length of any clear sections on the trees are also a determing factor. Many sawmills will not fool with them if they were in fence rows or around houses, they tend to attract nails and such and these are very bad for saw blades. You probably need to have someone come look at them and figure all of this out. Some outfits won't fool with only 3 or 4 trees unless they are very healthy and in prime condition.
